As the P&O Cruise ships head for the med once again, 2017 is shaping up to be another exciting year on the water.
I love the news that the sequins are taking to the sea too with Strictly fever coming to their fleet. We’ve loved travelling with P&O around the Mediterranean – their ships are filled with a fantastic range of entertainment, exciting tours and great family friendly facilities in their kids clubs and pools.
This year sees the return of Strictly Come Dancing’s famous faces to a selection of P&O’s cruises adding some real sparkle to the trip – including Craig Revel Horwood passing judgement on the dancers, along with the 2016 winner, TV news presenter Ore Oduba on board in April with his Strictly pro partner Jo Clifton.
Also dancing on the decks will be a host of other favourites from the programme including Giovanni Pernice and Oti Mabuse, Karen and Kevin Clifton and AJ Pritchard and Chloe Hewitt.
The Strictly themed cruises are not only for those who love to watch the show. I love the fact that it’s also encouraging young and old to learn to dance too and whether you’re a long-standing fan or it’s something new for you all, what could be more fun for families?
The culmination of the special two-week cruises is a dance competition for guests, finishing with a grand finale performance in the ship’s main theatre, complete with a judging panel starring Craig Revel Horwood and a Strictly professional dancer.
There’s a total of four Strictly Come Dancing themed P&O Cruises starting in April and June this year, and each will be joined by four of Strictly’s professional dancers performing show-stopping routines. There are meet and greet opportunities too along with a chance to hear interviews with the dancers and the judges.
