I love winter boots, they are something that actually make me feel happy at the change of the season and as someone who really feels the cold I’ve found that if my feet are warm then the rest of me stays toasty for longer. Boots are my biggest footwear investment but I find they also last the longest and are worn harder than any other so I’m happy to spend out on a good pair. I’ve rounded up my best winter boots for women who love adventures, autumn / winter 2017 & 2018, below.
Best winter boots for women who love adventures
Columbia’s Bangor Boot
I absolutely adore these Women’s Bangor Omni-Heat Michelin Boots from Columbia that look like they’ve been made for adventures. They are waterproof and best of all have special insulation and thermal heat reflective lining which means your feet stay properly warm and they really do. I love that they look smart enough to pop in to a restaurant for lunch but are hard-wearing enough to slide up and down the muddy banks in winter rambles. I love them.

Berghaus’s Hillmaster II GTX
The Berghaus women’ts Hillmaster is a proper sturdy walking boot that provides maximum comfort. It uses a super soft leather that adds to the overall feeling of quality and this is one boot that if you’re going out on a long walk you know you will be comfortable in. I love that no matter what the weather your feet will be dry and warm in the Hillmaster II GTX.
Rocket Dog’s Slope Suede
When I’m looking to head out on crisp winter days the Slope Suede Winter Boots from Rocket Dog are perfect. I love the squared off front and the zipped side and they look gorgeous. Available in a whole host of colours the chocolate brown is my favourite. Lined with faux shearling these boots are perfect for keeping feet warm and looking stylish.

The Bormio from Lowa is a hiking boot with a difference. It’s much sleeker looking and has a really comfortable cut to it. As an all terrain boot it’s perfect for adventures everywhere and I love that it has a slip-resistant sole and is completely waterproof. For me I love the design that looks as great on the school run as it does hiking through the moors at the weekend. It’s footwear that definitely means I can keep up with my kids on their adventures.

Hotter’s Desire Boot
I adore these faux fur lined boots from Hotter. They say they are “engineered to hug your feet” and when winter hits that’s exactly what I’m looking for from my footwear. They look perfect for a walk by the canal followed by a pub lunch and I love how the toggle detail allows the boot to move as you walk, providing extra comfort. Definitely the kind of boot I’d love to keep my feet warm this winter.
