I love the inquisitive nature of children. There’s never a day goes by when I’m not quizzed about the wonders of the world. Recent questions I’ve had to field have included How does a cloud stay in the sky? and Why don’t we fly off the earth if it is spinning so fast?
So my children are loving a brand new colourful book which seeks to tackle some of the mysteries of the world around us in a fun and engaging way.
Professor Astro Cat’s Atomic Adventure is a brilliant new book filled with facts, illustrations and diagrams to help children get a better understanding the laws of the universe in a way they will really enjoy.
The book has been put together by award-winning illustrator Ben Newman and Dr. Dominic Walliman who has a PhD in Quantum Device Physics, so there’s lots of great and well presented information to feed little minds and answer the questions which pop up.
As the smartest cat in the galaxy Professor Astro Cat has a lot of information to share about the world of physics, from how the sun keeps us warm and how a hot air balloon stays up in the sky. I love the way that the book has sections on energy, sound and molecules…and even particle physics for adventurous brains!
