Our eight year old has recently been showing interest in learning Arabic words from his school friends who are originally from Egypt. It’s great to see that he’s loving learning new languages and we are really pleased to have come across an App which mixes our love of travel with the chance to learn up a host of new languages.
Pacca Alpaca – Australia is an app for young children designed for Apple and Android devices. Pacca Alpaca – Australia sees the hero of the story set off on an adventure down under, where he makes friends, plays games and learns new words.
Children can earn rewards through the game as they complete challenges in one of five chosen languages ranging from French, English and Spanish to Mandarin and Arabic.
This is a really bright colourful app and it’s lots of fun for all our children to join in with. Designed with pre-schoolers in mind, our youngest children love the Pacca character and his magical carousel which he flies from his home in the Andes Mountains.
It’s really well put together, with strong educational aspects of learning languages, shapes, colours and numbers along with the fun central character of Pacca Alpaca and the friends he makes along the way.
The app creators are planning more adventures around the globe for Pacca, and we will be sure to look out for his next trip!
You can begin your own Pacca Alpaca journey here at the official website.
We were provided with a copy of the Pacca Alpaca – Australia app for the purposes of this review, but our views are all our own.

I think I will head over there as this looks like what I’ve been hoping to use with my children. I’d love if they could learn other languages. Thanks x
Ah great, hope they enjoy it as much as mine have!

Great idea, makes it feel less like work and more like play while teaching them some important basics!
this looks like a great app, my daughter has just started learning French so this would be great for her (and for me to brush up)
Love the look of this app, will definitely be downloading it for Boo, we already use spanish in the house but I’m keen for her to learn as many languages as possible!
Yes I love the idea of mine being at least open to as many languages as possible. I think this app is brilliant!
This sounds like a great App and definitely one my son would enjoy.
This sounds like a great app 🙂 xxx
Looks like a good app for kids. I am on their website but really hard to find my way around.
Oh really? I thought it was quite straightforward. What can’t you find? They’ve only just launched so maybe it’s just teething problems?
This looks good did not know this was out.
That looks fantastic, my boys are always wanting to learn what things are in different languages and I struggle to answer them most of the time!
I do love the sound of this but wish it was just a slightly lower price point, then I wouldn’t have thought twice…
I might down this, I love the sound of it x
We have this app and Eliza is loving it too
Sounds like a fun learning app. Will take a look at it.
Learning through play is the best, this sounds fun x
