I’m so happy that we’re getting in to swimming season. Spring is definitely in the air and with the days getting longer, the summer already feels like it can’t be too far behind.
All of the family love heading for a dip and with the new seasons of swimwear being released it’s a great time to get ready for the water.
The new 2016 swimwear collection from Platypus Australia has some brilliant new designs for children, with a host of bright and colourful prints for girls, featuring seashells, aquamarine tones and summer florals which my daughter thought were perfect. It’s really nice to find a different style for girls which isn’t a regular swimsuit and I love the little shorts these come with.
Platypus are specialists in fashionable UV protective swimwear for children including rash shirts, swimming costumes and beachwear. Their range includes products for babies through to age 14 for both boys and girls. The company was formed twenty years ago by two mothers who set out to produce swimwear which would protect children from the sun and still be comfortable and cool.
My eldest loved his outfit which has a strong maritime theme, matched with nautical colours and surfer style shorts.
My youngest also tried out a really lovely sea-faring style rash-vest with anchors and lobsters on the front and a cheeky skull and cross bones icon on the rear of the top. It’s nice to know that these sets are designed to keep children safe in the sun while they play, and they love to wear them too.
