We adore our Christmas weekends to London. I love the Big Smoke in every season but Christmas in London really is special. There’s a buzz about the city, the lights sparkle everywhere and people have a happy vibe. This year for our Christmas weekend we decided to stay in Knightsbridge, in the heart of this fashionable area of London and had the most amazing time.

A stay in Knightsbridge – Cheval Residences, Knightsbridge, London – Hotel and Location:

Cheval Residences are some of our favourite places to stay in London – these serviced apartments are perfect for families with all of the space and comfort anyone could ask for. I like to think of them as home from homes but actually they’re much better than that, they’re the home you’ve always wanted. Cheval Knightsbridge certainly keeps the brand on track with sumptuous furnishings and a really comfortable stay.

This Cheval is almost opposite Harrods on the bustling Brompton Road. The location is absolutely fantastic with all of the shops and restaurants of Knightsbridge outside the front door and beautiful Hyde Park a short walk away behind the building. This is also the location for The Natural History Museum, The Science Museum and the V&A.

A stay in Knightsbridge – Cheval Residences, Knightsbridge, London – Sleeps:

The Cheval Knightsbridge apartments have various sizes according to your family or group. We stayed in a three bedroom apartment which was fantastic. We had two bedrooms for the children –

And then a double bedroom for us and as always with Cheval the beds are fantastic, we slept so well here, better than we have in weeks.

We also had a lovely en-suite bathroom and there was a family bathroom too both of which were a great size, large and with gorgeous fluffy towels. I loved how they supplied plenty of Arran Aromatics products for us and also Child’s Farm products for the kids which meant they all wanted to jump in to bubbly baths during our stay!

The apartment felt really spacious and I liked how the bedrooms were all down one end and at the back so away from the slightly noisier Brompton Road.

At the front there was a large lounge with a nice dining area for us all to have breakfast and dinner together.

The lounge was really comfortable and the children loved that the television was all set up with all the movie channels too!

And then there was a great sized kitchen complete with Nespresso, washer / dryer and all the utensils you need to cook up a storm (if you can tear yourself away from all the fab restaurants outside the front door)

A stay in Knightsbridge – Cheval Residences, Knightsbridge, London – The Best Bits:

We love Cheval and their accommodation always feels a cut above many other serviced apartments. They ensure that everything is well thought out, well maintained and just has the feel of somewhere you’d like to move in to! You can read more about our time at Cheval Three Quays (next to the Tower of London) or Cheval Harrington Court in South Kensington here.

We loved the inclusion of a smartphone we could use for our stay with free phonecalls and maps etc programmed in.

They always provide the little touches that make the difference such as a little welcome pack of food and drink including milk and butter in the fridge to start us off and washing tablets near the dishwasher. It’s also wonderful to know the 24 hour concierge are on call for anything you might need. It feels safe and secure and just lovely in every respect.

We thought the location of Cheval Knightsbridge was fantastic, just to pop out the front door to everything you could possibly need outside from little supermarkets to nice restaurants, it really is a great area to be based in and lovely to wander some of the backstreets with beautiful pastel coloured properties on the way to Hyde Park.

A stay in Knightsbridge – Cheval Residences, Knightsbridge, London – Worth Bearing in Mind:

I’m struggling to find something to say here as they’ve pretty much thought of everything. Parking isn’t cheap but Cheval do have their own underground car park at the residences which is so convenient.

A stay in Knightsbridge – Cheval Residences, Knightsbridge, London – Child Friendly?

Cheval are definitely family friendly. We received little welcome packs for the kids when we arrived which they loved and we thought the products left out from Child’s Farm were a great touch. I love how Cheval just feel like spacious accommodation which as a family we can all really relax in to.
