Hard Rock Cafe Piccadilly Circus – rocking good times in the heart of London

Hard Rock Cafe Piccadilly Circus

Exploring the UK’s capital on foot can be a fascinating experience, with sprawling streets and history on every corner, London really is a city with something for everyone. That’s true too for one of the latest arrivals in Piccadilly Circus with Hard Rock Cafe. Opening its doors in 2019, this good vibes restaurant is a brilliant destination and stopping off point for families, with a classic legendary menu which has dishes for young and old. The Hard Rock Cafe Piccadilly Circus stands just feet away from the city’s statue of Eros and there’s plenty of love to be found here with a huge downstairs dining space and live music stage, as well as their largest rock shop in the world.

We headed for Hard Rock after a day of enjoying the sights of London’s Covent Garden and it was the perfect place to grab some great tasting food in a really lively atmosphere.

We started with one of our favourites from the Hard Rock Cafe menu which works brilliantly for the whole family, their Classic Nachos. It’s the best dish for sharing as a family and getting conversations going, looking back on all the sights we’ve seen on our trip to London. The nachos are piled high with ranch style beans, crispy tortilla chips and a host of toppings including pico de gallo, melted cheddar and monterey jack, along with red onion and sour cream and a side of guacamole.

The Hard Rock Cafe Piccadilly is one of the liveliest we’ve visited and our kids loved the family friendly atmosphere which is packed with fast moving food, friendly staff and great music. The sharing plates including the onion ring tower are great for adults and little ones too to enjoy.

We’ve really enjoyed seeing the Hard Rock menu embrace the popularity of plant based burgers and our 14 year old says that their Moving Mountains Burger is one of the best he has tasted. The burger is stacked high with a 100% plant-based vegan patty, and comes with a crispy onion ring, lettuce, tomato and cheese. It’s an impressive burger to look at and tastes just as good.

Little ones are well catered for too with their own menu which includes crayons and activities while you wait for your food. There’s plenty of choice on the kids menu so everyone is well cared for. My youngest chose their pasta in an arrabiata sauce and absolutely loved it.

It’s also good to see there’s more besides the classic burgers and fries with the likes of their Cedar Plank Salmon, which is oven roasted and comes with a sweet and spicy mustard glaze and fresh veggies. It’s a very generous size like many of the dishes at Hard Rock Cafe Piccadilly.

One of the highlights of any trip to Hard Rock Cafe is spotting the music memorabilia and we love taking a moment to spot guitars which were once owned by the likes of Oasis, and outfits worn by Ed Sheeran and Charli XCX. My daughter loved seeing the telephone box from the One Direction album cover.

If you find that you or the kids have room for a little sweetness at the end of the meal, their incredible hot fudge brownie is great for sharing (highly recommended!) and my three loved trying out the cookies and cream mini-milkshakes which are a dessert in their own right with vanilla ice cream, white chocolate and Oreo cookies topped with whipped cream.
