1. Parco San Marco, nr Milan, Italy
Parco San Marco is one of those resorts which looks deceptive. It weaves its way up a hillside on the Italian side of the border with Switzerland.
The resort has beautiful views across the snow topped mountains and Lake Lugano which is directly in front of the hotel. We love our trips to Italy with kids where there is always a warm welcome.
There’s no beach here but don’t let that put you off. There’s a fantastic lakeside area with playground for the kids, lots of watersports going on and sun loungers for parents.
Parco San Marco has wonderful food (their breakfast should not be missed). Plus there’s so much going on for kids from organised kids clubs for different ages through to indoor and outdoor pools.
There are interactive trails through the grounds, animals on site and some brilliant playgrounds. Accommodation is as family friendly as the rest of the resort with little apartments set up the hillside.

Sani Beach Club in Halkidiki has a reputation as being one of those places that once you get there you just won’t want to leave.

One of the best resorts in Europe, Martinhal is luxury, relaxation and child-friendly, all wrapped up in one beautiful package.

The restaurants are fantastic and they even have childcare staff working there to look after the children so adults can relax and eat while they play. We love our trips to the Algarve with kids and this really is a wonderful resort.
