Reid’s Palace, Funchal
If your budget will stretch to it then the absolute best place to stay in Madeira is Reid’s Palace.
This old school hotel is packed full of style with all the luxury you could want.
The pools here are wonderful and there’s just an air of history and class that is hard to replicate. The food here is also so good.
For families there are interconnecting rooms or really spacious suites. They have lovely touches like a teddy bear for each child that stays and there’s a great kids club here too.
Definitely one of the best family friendly hotels in Madeira.

This is a lovely hotel in picturesque Santana and kids are more than welcome here.
This 4 star hotel has all the facilities you could need including an outdoor pool, games room and a great restaurant.
