Nestled in the heart of Beitostølen, Lodge900 is a must-visit for families looking to unwind and indulge after a day in the snow. This stylish yet welcoming restaurant combines warm wooden interiors with a lively, friendly atmosphere making it a perfect spot for reconnecting over great food.
Whether you’ve been skiing, sledging or simply soaking in the scenery, Lodge900 invites families and friends to relax, refuel and share stories of the day’s adventures. With its buzzing vibe and a great menu it’s no surprise this place is a favourite amongst locals and visitors alike.

Lodge900 offers something for everyone, with a fantastic family-friendly menu packed with exciting and delicious dishes.
There’s a wonderfully relaxed and friendly atmosphere here. You’re invited to simply sit back, take off your gloves, and enjoy the end of the day with good food and great company. It’s the kind of place where families can gather around a table, cheeks rosy from the cold, chatting and laughing as they share stories from the slopes or snowball fights.

The menu is brilliant for families, striking the perfect balance between comfort food favourites and inspiring new tastes. My youngest immediately made a beeline for the stone oven-baked pizzas, served all day long. They’re handmade and full of flavour – with crisp, golden crusts and generous toppings.

But what really impressed us was how Lodge900 also encouraged them to step out of their comfort zones and try something new. On the starters menu we loved the Arancini Funghi, crispy rice balls packed with chanterelle and oyster mushrooms. They also loved the Pizzabread starter which was warm, fluffy, and topped with parmesan, rosemary, garlic and crème fraîche – ideal for sharing.

From the seasonal specials the Tartar of Salmon was outstandingly good, as was the mains menu which is packed with seasonal Norwegian ingredients and creative flair. A highlight of the menu is the seasonal Skrei – a beautifully cooked cod dish, served with grapefruit and carrot cream, pearl potatoes, broccolini and a silky white wine sauce with chives.

The Pasta Funghi – creamy linguini with shiitake, porcini and oyster mushrooms – is comfort food at its finest, served with grilled focaccia for the perfect finishing touch.

Desserts at Lodge900 are equally impressive. They serve ice cream from Kulinaris, a Norwegian producer known for its quality and creativity.
You can choose from flavours like rhubarb sorbet, mango sorbet, raspberry sorbet, dark chocolate, liquorice, vanilla, rum & raisin, cookies & cream and “krokan” – a crunchy caramelised almond favourite in Norway. Each serving comes with oat crumble for an extra texture that children will love.

For something truly indulgent my personal favourite the Affogato was a delight – vanilla ice cream topped with homemade caramel and a shot of steaming hot espresso, creating a dessert that’s both comforting and energising.
The drinks menu is just as well-curated, with an extensive wine list and tempting cocktails for the grown-ups – perfect for rounding off a special evening.

But perhaps the most unforgettable part of a visit to Lodge900 is its terrace. Even in the chill of winter, it’s a magical spot to gather under heaters and blankets, enjoying panoramic views across the snow-dusted mountains. It’s the ideal setting to share a warm drink, soaking in the best atmosphere Beitostølen has to offer.
Lodge900 truly delivers – with inventive dishes, a warm welcome, and a setting that captures the magic of the mountains. Whether you’re visiting with little ones or teenagers, there’s something on the menu for everyone, and memories waiting to be made around every table.
