Souvenirs to buy in Lapland – Kuksa Cup
The Kuksa cup can be found all over Lapland and is a traditional drinking cup but it is more than that.
The Sami, traditional Lappish people see their Kuksa cup as a companion. Something to keep close and tie to their belt.
These are beautifully crafted wooden cups and is made using traditional methods from wood that has been through the midnight sun and the winter northern lights.
They are seen as special pieces to treasure and are a great souvenir to buy in Lapland.
Cloudberries
Similar to a raspberry or blackberry but with a distinct yellow hue the cloudberry has a very unique flavour and is a great little taste of Lapland to take home.
While it may not be so easy to buy a punnet of cloudberries there are plenty of other ways to enjoy this Arctic berry. From jams to lollies and even a cloudberry liqueur (which is very tasty).
Moomin gifts
Moomins were created by the Finnish illustrator Tove Jansson. They are an adorable family of white, round characters with distinct faces.
Everywhere you go in Lapland you will find Moomin inspired products from cuddly toys to toothpaste and bags.
The Moomin food from coffee to chocolate is also really good, particularly the fruity liquorice. It’s a great gift from Lapland to take home.

Lapland is of course home to Father Christmas and his elves. Throughout the country there are adorable elves to pick up and take home.
