It really feels like Autumn is in full swing doesn’t it? Pretty much as soon as the schools returned it was as though the weather was shouting that summer was over. I’m really holding on to the memories of happy summer days right now, trying to stay warm and lighting my lovely little tea light houses I picked up in Utrecht when we were in the Netherlands over the summer. I’m also surrounding myself with all the happy products for this month’s Travel Loves which are brightening up even the darkest of September days.

1..Travel Loves: Canvas Travel Maps

I adore this huge travel map that is the perfect way to spend these rainy autumn days reliving past travels. Canvas Travel Maps will personalise your map and send it straight from the US, there’s also a huge range of colours available. We ordered one in petrol blue and loved all getting together on a Sunday afternoon to remember all the places we’d visited as a family, pointing them out on the map and pinning them. It’s a lovely wall hanging to walk past every day and remember those wonderful adventures we’ve had and the ones we’re planning.

Starting at $150 from

2. Travel Loves: Fun recipe books

My youngest adores these fun recipe books from Phaidon. With Pizza or Pancake versions they are perfect for little ones to get interested in food. Each page gives you a step of the recipe and fun movements to make your own virtual pizza or pancake, or follow the steps to make one for real! They’re really tactile books and great to pick up and read together or for younger children to play with on their own.

Available from Amazon at £9.95.

You can find out more about the Pancake book here and the Pizza book here.

3. Travel Loves: Flying Tiger Beach Vibe Range

I am loving the stationery range from Flying Tiger which is keeping the summer alive even if the skies are grey. With bright and colourful pens and notebooks inspired by warmer days at the beach and their brilliant seahorse shaped pens, my little ones are delighted to be taking these into school with them. My youngest adores the crab shaped pencil sharpener!

Prices vary – You can find out more at the Flying Tiger website.

4. Travel Loves: Awesome Little Green Men

Awesome Little Green Men are a great new collectible range which are perfect to pop into a day bag or bring along as travel toys on your next trip. There’s a hundred different characters available which come in a range of starter packs, blind boxes and deluxe packs with enough little characters to set off on your missions or take into battle with blue and green army squadrons. You can even join your favourite troop too with a dog-tag for each character, a game sheet and a guide to help track your collection.

Available from Amazon from £3.99 here.

5. Travel Loves: All Aboard The Discovery Express

This brilliant new book from the always amazing Wide Eyed Books sets young readers a mystery to solve as they journey through the book on a time travelling adventure from 1937 to the modern day discovering and exploring the important moments of modern transport and engineering history. There are challenges, puzzles and clues to solve on each of the pages all of which have an interactive lift the flap style throughout. Can your little ones help track down the professor and be inspired to become the next generation of scientists and engineers.

From £13 available at Amazon here.

I really hope you like this month’s selection of Travel Loves – you can look back on all the previous months of Travel Loves by clicking here.
