We’ve had some amazing trips to Paris with kids. It’s such a wonderful city for wandering and soaking up the culture, the history and the fun. We love it there. On our recent trip to northern France we stopped off in the capital for a few days enjoying the sights. We checked in to Hotel Moderniste in the 15th arrondissement which was the perfect place for a weekend break with kids.

Location – Hotel Moderniste, Paris
Cafe – 15th arrondissement 
The 15th arrondissement isn’t an area we have previously explored. But we really enjoyed it.
Packed with cafes and restaurants with a laid back vibe it’s a great location. The nearest metro is just a few minutes walk from Hotel Moderniste.
The hotel is set in a beautiful 1930s building that has recently been renovated. There are little nods to its history throughout.
It isn’t a big hotel but it has everything you could need for a weekend away.
Sleeps
Hotel Moderniste, Paris 
We stayed in one of Hotel Moderniste’s interconnecting rooms. This was the perfect way to stay.
The children had their own room and bathroom and with a short hallway between us we had a double room and bathroom.
Our bedroom was snug in that Parisian way but the children’s room was spacious.
The beds were really comfortable and the bathrooms also very well set out with some lovely products.
We were very happy in these rooms and it was a great space to relax in once we’d come back from sightseeing.
Hotel Moderniste Paris – Food
There isn’t a restaurant for dinner at Hotel Moderniste but there is a good spread for breakfast.
We really enjoyed the pancakes, fruit salad, pastries, and yoghurts and juices. It was a lovely French breakfast.
The hotel also has coffee, tea and hot chocolate on offer through the day along with some madeleines which was a lovely treat.
The best bits
This was a really sweet hotel and perfect for our stay in Paris. It felt friendly, welcoming, modern and chic.
We really loved the location too. It was great to explore the restaurants here and very easy to get into the centre.
Worth bearing in mind?
There is no parking at the hotel which is kind of standard for Paris. There is parking nearby but it’s expensive.
What we thought of our stay at the Hotel Moderniste Paris
We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Moderniste. Being able to pickup a coffee throughout the day and exploring the 15th arrondissement was lovely. We whizzed about the city seeing the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and relaxing in the Tuileries and then came back to the hotel. It was a fantastic weekend break and we can’t wait to return.
