Camping Caravaning Les Cerisiers Berck sur mer – Opal Coast
This is a lovely campsite with a fantastic indoor heated swimming pool. There’s a fun playground and this isn’t a large site, just ideal for family camping.
One of the key benefits of this site is the location, close enough to the ferry ports for trips from the UK. There are also the beautiful beaches of the Opal Coast for visits to the beach.

Camping Future – Avanton
This is a really well located campsite and perfect for family holidays or as a stop off on the road to the south of France. Or if you’re taking a road trip through Spain and Portugal.
As well as camping pitches there are also some great glamping options here.
There’s a lovely outdoor pool, small children’s playground and mini golf. Plus the campsite is very close to the amazing Futuroscope Theme Park.

Situated right on the beach this is a fantastic campsite for a family trip. Tthe beach is one of the D-Day landing beaches, Utah.
With an outdoor pool and an additional covered, heated pool there’s plenty to keep kids occupied.
There’s also a farm, bouncy castle, games room and more. There are lots of activities organised at the seafront including horse riding and kayaking.

This is a lovely spot right on the beach.

This is a really unique campsite set in the grounds of a historic castle. This is a great campsite if you’re travelling from the UK as it’s only a short drive away from Calais and Dunkirk.
With two swimming pools the kids will be happy. And there are plenty of other activities available on site including tennis and a really fun playground.

This is a fantastic family-friendly campsite in Normandy.
It’s got some lovely outdoor pools and with its setting around a lake it’s got a peaceful, picturesque feel.
It’s easily situated for day trips to Cherbourg and Mont Saint-Michel and kids will love the fantastic adventure playgrounds.

Camping Merry-sur-Yonne – Bourgogne
This is such a sweet camp site. Alongside pitches they also have some little glamping pods you can rent as well as a gite.
There’s lots of lovely onsite activities from tennis, giant games, cycling and there’s horse riding and fishing nearby too. There’s also a games room and outdoor play area and a cafe.

This is a lovely campsite set in to the forest in south east France in 2.5 hectares.
Kids will love the fun playground and there’s some fantastic cycle routes nearby.
There’s a brilliant communal lake nearby for swimming and cooling off in and on-site there’s a lovely kids club that organises activities for the children to enjoy.

Camping Le Lac d’Orient – Mesnil-Saint-Père
This is a fantastic campsite just a few kilometres from Troyes.
The real star of the show here is the amazing aquapark complete with water slides which will leave every family member wanting to stay on site.
There are lots of other activities available including volleyball tournaments, boules games, badminton, table tennis and a kids club up to age 12.
There’s also a fantastic lake here complete with activities and beach area.

Just two hours outside of Paris this is a great campsite to combine with some city activities.
Onsite there are a huge number of activities including an indoor and outdoor pool, archery, cycling, a mini farm and a fab treetop adventure walk.

This campsite has the most stunning setting all around a river.
There’s lots to do here for kids including a swimming pool which doesn’t belong to the site but guests have free access and has waves and waterslides.

If you fancy a trip out you can also get to Paris in around two hours and the Loire Valley is perfect for excursions.

Camping Le Capeyrou – Dordogne – family campsites in France
The location of this campsite couldn’t be better. Set in a valley with a medieval Chateau overlooking, and alongside a bend in the magnificent Dordogne river this is France at its best.
Alongside the regular tents there are also those already set up so you can just turn up and start relaxing.
There’s a fantastic pool area and access to the wonderful river for paddling and swimming (if you are a family of strong swimmers the campsite will also take you 20km up stream so you drift your way back to the site).
This is definitely one of the best family holiday parks France has.

This is a fantastic site in southern France with a huge amount for kids to do not least in the free kids club.
There’s a fun playground and an amazing pool complete with water slides and an indoor heated pool.

Set in the heart of the Landes region this park will have all the family wanting to return year after year.

Île de Ré is a small island just off of the coast and perfect for idyllic family holidays.
The campsite itself is right next to a beautiful, sandy, long beach: the Plage de Gros Joncs.
On-site are swimming pools including an outdoor pool, and a very warm indoor pool complete with bubbles and shower streams.
There’s a play area, and areas for games such as volleyball, boules and ping pong as well as onsite bicycle hire which is a great island activity as the terrain is so flat.

Camping Chantemerle – Cévennes – family campsites in France
This is a wonderful location, situated right along a beautiful river in the Cévennes region of France.
This campsite is all about slowing down and enjoying the simple pleasures. First and foremost of which will be the gorgeous river which beats any swimming pool.
The campsite has floats and lilos free to borrow and they also have plenty of games available to use too.
Surrounded by nature and gorgeous sites this is somewhere none of you will want to leave.

This is a lovely campsite with an indoor heated pool.
Being close to the Ecrins National Park this is a great site from which to take in the beautiful countryside here.

This campsite has the most peaceful setting and overlooks the fantastic town of Cannes which is a 20 minute bus ride away.
There’s an onsite heated indoor swimming pool and a playground and trampolines for kids.
It’s just a 10 minute trip to the beach.
Camping La Ravoire – Annecy – family campsites in France
Lake Annecy is a stunning destination for a camping trip. Complete with crystal clear, turquoise water and surrounded by tiny fishing cottages and towering mountains. And Camping La Ravoire at the southern end.
