Sky Kids App review. As we head closer to half term my kids are looking forward to getting some time together as a family once again. We love to travel as a family unit and have great shared experiences wherever we are heading. There’s so much to explore during the year, and it’s lovely to get out and travel once again. Keeping everyone entertained as we head off on our journeys can be a struggle sometimes so it’s been a real delight to test out the new Sky Kids app which is available for Sky TV customers. The app has been specially designed for children to be able to access their favourite channels and shows where and when they want.

About the Sky Kids App review
There are over 5000 episodes available on demand alongside the seventeen channels which are available to view via the app.
I was really impressed with the line up of programmes which is incredibly strong with all the major kids channels including the likes of Nickelodeon, Disney and Cartoon Network. That’s alongside children’s’ channels and programmes from the BBC, Sky Kids and Sky Sports programmes made for younger viewers.

As my kids ages vary from 6 to 11 they’ve loved setting up their own profiles. Picking their Sky Buddy character, and having access to shows which are age-appropriate.
Sky Kids App review – parental controls
I love that as a parent you can place restrictions around the types of shows they’re able to access. As well as controlling the time when the app is available. So you can be certain of ensuring that the app is only being used when you want it to be.
This can be varied from profile to profile, so slightly older children can have greater access if you want.

The tablet version of the app is also packed with a number of extras. With simple and fun games featuring some of your children’s favourite characters.

And there are quizzes too including our favourite interactive animal quiz which is my youngest’s favourite.
These are currently only available on the tablet version of the app, but are being added to the mobile version in the near future.

We’ve loved making use of the Sky Kids app at home in the past few weeks and it will be the perfect accompaniment to keep my children entertained en route as we set off for our next adventures.
You can find the Sky Kids app in your app store for your phone or tablet or following the link here.
We are testing the Sky Kids App and working in partnership with Sky Kids. Our views are independent and our own.
