Temple Tree Resort combines a great mix of being a resort and also a villa of sorts since you have your own self catering accommodation.
If you’re looking for where to stay in Langkawi with family you won’t get more unique than this.
Temple Tree rescue buildings from all across Malaysia. Carefully moving them here to this site to provide amazing accommodation for visitors.
They’re a great option for a Langkawi hotel for big family groups as some of the buildings are very large.
Not only do they rescue buildings, they also rescue cats so there are a few of them wandering around the grounds.
Temple Tree is wonderfully family friendly, there is a fantastic swimming pool, a lovely onsite restaurant and all the space kids need.
We love it here and it’s our best place to stay in Langkawi for family trips.

Westin Langkawi Resort & Spa – Luxury
The Westin is a real luxury Langkawi family hotel. Packed full of all the elements you need to feel really well taken care of.
There are a number of swimming pools, a wonderful kids club, breakfast that has everything you could want and the setting on the beach is perfect.
There are some gorgeous on site restaurants and the hotel offers some fun activities for active kids (and adults).
There’s a spa if you want to sneak off for some adult time while the kids are entertained in the club and there’s plenty of space for all the family to relax.
They also have some wonderful suites with multiple bathrooms and bedrooms making it one of the best family friendly hotels in Langkawi.

We walked through the hotel when we went on a night walk to spot colugo and loved the feel of it.
Best of all there is a Berjaya Langkawi Resort family chalet which is great value for money and combines two inter-connecting ‘rainforest chalets’ to give you plenty of space.
There are numerous restaurants, a private beach, swimming pools and the most beautiful of tropical surroundings. Making it great for a Langkawi family holiday.

They have a pool, a lovely beach and do a really good breakfast.
This is a really good value hotel for a Langkawi stay for family. Staff go out of their way to make guests feel welcome and it is situated on a quiet part of Tengah beach. Making it an ideal destination when travelling with kids.
They have family rooms with four beds in which is a real bonus.

Often seen as being one of the top hotels, the Datai Langkawi is a wonderful resort and one of the best places to stay if you’re looking for a villa.
Situated in a 10 million year old rainforest it has 54 rooms, 40 villas, 12 suites and 14 beach villas.
Kids will love the monkeys who come to visit from the trees and the setting with both jungle and beach is fantastic.
